The Greater Avenues for Independence (GAIN) Program is a large-scale Welfare-to-Work initiative that operates throughout Los Angeles County.
GAIN is the Welfare-to-Work program for CalWORKs recipients in Los Angeles County. As a contractor for Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) Maximus in partnership with JVS SoCal operates the program in GAIN Regions II and VII, which includes East and West San Fernando Valleys, Santa Clarita Valley and the Antelope Valley.
